Want to add a fierce edge to your look, but the prospect of yet another ear piercing (and healing it in winter!) is a real deterrent? Good news. The big return of ear cuff jewelry is the trend that solves the problem.
Ear cuffs are a jewelry game changer. They let you build a striking composition on the ear (an "ear party") in seconds — no pain, no commitment. In our new collection inspired by the volcanic landscape, Teide Drop, we've created the Onda model — an ear cuff that proves jewelry without piercing can be stable, comfortable and incredibly stylish.
What exactly is an ear cuff?
An ear cuff is a type of earring you slide onto the cartilage of the ear with no need to pierce it. Its construction (usually a "C" shape) lets you press the jewelry onto the edge of the ear.
At Marai we've gone a step further. Onda isn't a plain, smooth ring. Its structural, multi-layered form is inspired by layers of cooled lava and the volcanic rocks of Tenerife. A detail that "makes" the entire look — raw, modern, and very edgy.

How do you put on an ear cuff so it doesn't fall off? Step by step
The most common question we get: "Won't it fall off when I'm dancing or sprinting for the tram?". The answer is: no, if you put it on correctly.
Here's a tested way to wear the Onda ear cuff securely:
Find the thinnest spot: place the ear cuff against the upper, thinnest part of the ear.
Slide it on: gently slide the cuff onto the cartilage. It should go on smoothly.
Move it down: slide the jewelry down until it "locks" into the natural recess of the ear (usually around halfway down the ear, or in the lower part of the cartilage). This spot is called the "conch".
Press gently: the key moment. Gently press the cuff's wings onto the ear. Sterling silver 925 is malleable, so it adapts to your anatomy.
The test: tug the cuff lightly. If it doesn't budge — you're ready to go out.
Ear Party — how to combine ear cuffs with other earrings?
Winter 2025 belongs to bold combinations. The Onda ear cuff from the Teide Drop is designed to form a tuned duo with classic stud earrings.
3 styling ideas using the ear cuff:
The Asymmetric Look: for fans of the avant-garde. On one ear, wear only one big, bold earring (e.g. our Magma Gold with its irregular shape); on the other — a stack of several small studs topped with the Onda cuff. Asymmetry pulls the eye!
Mixed Metals: can you mix gold with silver? In 2025 it's not just allowed — it's encouraged. A silver, structural ear cuff cools down the warm shine of gold earrings beautifully. The perfect set with a black turtleneck or a leather blazer.
Solo Statement: got slicked-back hair or a short bob? Put the Onda ear cuff a little higher on the ear. Let it be the single, bold jewelry accent.
