Two friends, two worlds, one shared vision

MARAI is the work of two friends from primary school: Asia and Aga. We shared a desk, school secrets and dreams of the wider world. Today kilometres separate us — Asia has been moving for years between Warsaw and sunny Spain, and Aga has stayed in her hometown of Kraków. But what connects us is much stronger: shared memories, a longing for that holiday lightness, and the wish to capture emotion in something tangible. That's how the story of the MARAI jewelry brand was born.

Asia, fascinated by the Spanish culture of long lunches, slowness and joie de vivre, often spoke about that ease. Aga, an expert in communication, looked at the Kraków sky with nostalgia, missing warmth and sun. One day, during one of our video calls, MARAI was born.

A wave of memories and a sea of inspiration

"MARAI is an abstract word that for us carries a story of motion, change, nostalgia and authenticity all at once. Of memories evoked by the rush of the sea. When we were creating Marai, we weren't looking for a business idea — we were looking for a form of self-expression. From the start we knew our jewelry was meant to tell stories. To be like an amulet — a reminder of important moments, of the women who inspire us, and of the strength of the relationships we build over the years," Asia says. Aga adds: "Our designs grow from inspiration in nature — the wave that softly breaks on the shore, the wind that carries a memory of summer, the line of the horizon where dreams begin. The organic shapes and subtle forms are no accident — they're our way of telling a story without words."

From the very start we made sure Marai would be a responsible brand. Our jewelry is made in Poland — with passion and craftsperson's precision. Every piece uses sterling silver 925; some are generously gold-plated. We care for every step of production, from the design to the final packaging.
